Don't Cry Over Spilled Dairy
Today I will be enlightening my crowd of readers on how to keep your cool. Last night I had a splitting headache, I figure it's the allergies. Regina rubbed my head while I fell asleep. I felt good when I woke up but when I walked Beis the allergies started kicking in again. I left ten minutes late, missed the green light right outside our place that takes five minutes to turn green again because some Jack-O was joy riding over the speed bumps. Here's what I don't get, for those of you who live, or have lived, in a place/neighborhood that has speed bumps, have you ever noticed that the bigger the car the slower they go over the speed bumps? It may just be where I live, but DAMN HOMBRE! Move your big assed SUBURBAN over those little bitty speed bumps with some fury!
That was okay though. I was pissed I missed the light, but I just put my head back against the seat and took a deep breath, uttered some explicit word, and started to sing one of my favorite songs. I felt pretty good by the time the light finally turned green again.
Class was okay. Afterward I went down to one of our eating areas at school. I buy a coke, cookies, and an empty coffee cup to heat my clam chowder up in.
Okay, there was a girl who kept looking at me when I was pouring the soup in the empty cup, so she was making me nervous. Then, I spill a little on the table, so I go to clean it up with some napkins and in one fail swoop,
I knocked that shit right to the floor, all over my pants, and a couple of inches from the nosy girl's feet. She and few others made the over empathetic "awww..." noise, making me feel worse. But I cleaned it up with poise, plugged my headphones in a listened to my favorite song. Now here I am, fine and I managed to save some of my soup, so I'm full. So, today's tip for keeping your cool: Listen or sing your favorite song.
The more energy that you can put into some other function will transfer that negativity into something that pacifies you. SING! And if you can't sing, sing while alone. (jk)
